Terms of Service

Last updated: September 5, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Luna when you use our service. We've written them to be clear, but they are a legal contract — please read them. If you don't agree with them, don't use Luna.

1. The service

Luna is an AI-powered Vedic astrology companion delivered through lunaknows.me (the “Service”). Luna generates astrological interpretations and conversational guidance using your birth details and large language models. The Service is provided by Luna AI (the “Company,” “we,” “us”). “You” means the individual using the Service.

2. Important disclaimer — for reflection, not prescription

Luna is provided for informational, self-reflective, and entertainment purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional advice. Nothing Luna tells you is medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial, tax, or other professional advice. Do not use Luna to diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and do not make legal, financial, medical, or major life decisions based solely on anything Luna says. If you are in crisis or considering self-harm, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services immediately.

Luna’s responses are generated by large language models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or fabricated. Astrological interpretations are, by their nature, interpretive and subjective. Outcomes are not guarantees or predictions of fact.

You remain responsible for evaluating Luna’s responses and for every decision or action you take. Do not treat confidence, specificity, or repetition in an AI response as proof that it is accurate.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Luna. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement in the jurisdiction where you reside.

4. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for any activity that happens under your account.
  • The information you provide — including your birth details — should be accurate. Luna’s output depends on it.
  • One account per person. Don’t share your account with others or resell access to it.
  • You can close your account at any time from settings or by emailing us.

5. Acceptable use

When using Luna, you agree not to:

  • Use the Service for anything illegal or that harms others.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, copy, or redistribute the Service, its prompts, or its outputs beyond your own personal use.
  • Use Luna’s outputs to train, fine-tune, or benchmark other AI models or competing services.
  • Try to extract system prompts, bypass safety features, or probe for vulnerabilities outside of a good-faith, coordinated security disclosure.
  • Abuse, harass, or harm other users, our staff, or any third party through the Service.
  • Upload or input content that is unlawful, hateful, infringing, or that contains malware.
  • Evade rate limits, interfere with other users’ access, or place excessive load on the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. Subscriptions, billing, and renewals

Some features of Luna require a paid subscription. When you subscribe:

  • You authorize us, through our payment processor Stripe, to charge your payment method the recurring fee disclosed at checkout.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled.
  • Prices, features, and plan terms are displayed at checkout and govern your subscription.
  • Taxes may be added where required by law.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then.
  • If we change pricing for existing subscribers, we’ll give you advance notice and the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.

Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms.

Pro chat and fair use

New accounts receive five free questions when you sign up, plus three free questions each day. The daily allowance resets at midnight in your account timezone (UTC if none is set), and unused daily questions do not carry over. Your chart and Today card remain free. Purchased questions and earned referral rewards are separate from these free allowances. Questions are used in this order: your signup questions first, then that day’s free questions, then any purchased or referred questions.

Luna Pro includes unlimited chat for personal use, subject to a fair-use ceiling that applies per account, shared across all chats and devices. The ceiling is set well above normal personal use and may change. One question means one message you send or one requested guidance answer; assistant reply paragraphs and internal processing steps do not count as additional questions. The ceiling resets at midnight in your account timezone (UTC if none is set). At the ceiling, further questions pause until the reset time displayed in the app. Buying question packs does not bypass the Pro fair-use ceiling, and reaching it does not trigger an extra charge. Voice usage consumes questions at the rate shown before a call.

Automated bulk use, account sharing, resale, and attempts to evade fair-use controls are not permitted. We record account-level usage and fair-use events to operate these controls; authorized administrators may review them as described in our Privacy Policy. We will give affected subscribers advance notice of material changes to these limits. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.

7. EU / UK digital content and right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. Because Luna is digital content that begins performing immediately upon subscription, you expressly request immediate access and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once you start using the Service. You may still be entitled to a refund under our Refund Policy or applicable consumer law.

8. Your content and our content

You own your inputs. The messages and birth details you provide are yours. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process them solely to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are free to use Luna’s outputs for your own personal, non-commercial, reflective purposes. Because generative AI outputs can resemble outputs produced for other users and may include material derived from public sources, we make no exclusivity guarantee and no warranty that any particular output is original, unique, or protectable.

We own the Service itself — the Luna brand, software, design, prompts, and content we create. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the Service to you.

9. Third-party services

Luna relies on third-party providers (including Clerk, Stripe, AI model providers, Railway, and Cloudflare). Your use of the Service is also subject to their terms where applicable. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third parties beyond our reasonable control.

10. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and availability. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce any specific result.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will the Company, its officers, employees, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including, for consumers in certain jurisdictions, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or statutory consumer rights).

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company and its affiliates from any claim, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

13. Termination

You may stop using Luna at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required to do so by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 2, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, and 15) will survive.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts — except that, if you are a consumer, you may have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence under mandatory local consumer law.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you by email or via a prominent notice in the app at least seven days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms. If you don’t agree, please stop using the Service and cancel any active subscription.

16. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement — these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
  • Severability — if any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver — our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
  • Assignment — you may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them to an affiliate or successor.
  • Contact — [email protected]
